"Thankyou for a fab Rockschool taster session today. Connor, Keira and I all really enjoyed it. I thought it was really good how you started with getting us all doing some rhythm excercises. I don’t think I'd appreciated before just how important rhythm is!!! We all really enjoyed having a go at using the different instruments. I've always wanted to have a go at drums. It was fab! It was great that it lead us to playing an actual rock tune. I really don’t have any negative feedback. Thank you so much."

Emma has taught our son for several years and he has progressed significantly in that time. She is an enthusiastic teacher and obviously takes a lot of pleasure from music and seeing her students progress. Emma has also been a great help when we upgraded to an electric drum kit and was able to advise what to look for and the best places to go. My son really enjoys his lessons with Emma. Thank you so much for arranging his online guitar/drum lessons while we are going through this bizarre time. The lessons give Jake some form of normality and dialling in to skype is so easy. The lessons are made fun even though from a distance. I definitely recommend having lessons this way while on lockdown as it’s given Jake a focus and a friendly face to say hi to...thank you

Doing lessons with Emma I've learned an insane amount of knowledge about guitar including different methods and techniques of strumming, vibrato and some song writing methods, scales and chord progression and even straight up songs. She has taught me both rhythm and lead guitar techniques and introduced me to new music genres and bands which has helped inspire me out of lesson to practice. The flexibility with learning songs I wanted to learn also helped keep me interested and entertained by the learning process. The friendliness and care given by Emma also makes the lesson seem very personal and not at all scary to play in front of people and also makes the lessons much more fun as it allows there to be banter between us. Emma is a great guitar tutor and has allowed me to learn new skills and most importantly, she has taught me to learn guitar and keeps me interested by making each lesson different. We learn new things every time and by giving me tasks to complete whilst out of lesson, this keeps me playing and practicing. Finally if it wasn't for her I would have never begun listening to great bands like Radiohead and she has widened my music tastes.

I have known Emma for a number of years but only recently witnessed her talents as a sound engineer at Barnsley Live 2019. The enthusiasm for her craft is immediately apparent and she managed to conjure up a great sound for all the bands that I saw. I am no expert but it looked like a particularly difficut venue not normally geared up for live performances and with a glass roof not usually conducive to good acoustics but the goods were delivered with aplomb. If you are seeking an independent sound engineer who cares about your sound as much as you do then look no further.

Emma has always presented herself as a true professional. She is able to teach me keyboard skills to a high standard. Introduced me to various apps such as GarageBand and Loopy, allowing me to play 2 handed material (I only have one arm) and create backing tracks. Advice on specialist music technology hardware which provides alternative ways to create and perform music. Variety of lesson content eg singing, sight reading, recording, arranging and composition. Also advanced theory, harmony, intervals, modes and rhythm work. Detailed lesson notes, loan of equipment and books.

"Emma is multi talented in all things musical - from guitars and drums to programming music. She is a very warm, friendly lady with a great bubbly personality. Any young person will have a great time 'getting in the mix' with Emma's music sessions."

"I went (Rockschool) last summer and it was brilliant no pressure is put on you to do anything you don't want to but you are also encouraged to try new things, we got to choose a song we all liked and were taught how to play it on whatever instrument we were playing (or singing) I would defiantly recommend it for young rockers It's something you won't forget!"

"Emma has produced a CD recording of Cawthorne Choral Society's 2015 Christmas Concert and it is excellent! She was thoroughly professional at both rehearsals and performance, and her friendly and unobtrusive presence made everyone feel relaxed and able to perform their best. Sensitive editing and sound production has resulted in a lovely CD which Emma should be very proud of. Thank you!"

Would just like to congratulate Emma and the guys from Death of Man on the amazing Release the Beast EP. Absolutely fantastic! Great work Emma! Will definately recommend you to any band members looking to start recording

"...Kind,patient, knows her stuff and charges more than a fair price. I recommend her highly if anybody is wanting to learn how to play an instrument or wanting your kids to learn, she's fab.....shes adapted her skills to teach Ellie and anybody that can get Ellie to focus for a full hour deserves my full praise and recommendation......"

"Logan is enjoying her lessons and can't wait to be doing songs. I feel she is progressing well and as a teacher you are encouraging and Logan gets along well with you which keeps her wanting to learn."

"Emma is passionate about music to the max and it's this enthusiasm that enables her to engage young people in music making activities so well. Whether delivering creative rhythm games with young children or rocking out with teenagesrs, Emma encourages positive contribution and team work, ensuring that no one is left out."

"Emma, loved watching you and the other musicians at the recording session, your passion for teaching and performing was wonderful to see. Thankyou."
